Amanda Gilbert; speaker, author, meditation teacher and mindfulness professor at USC. Her resume is as impressive as the corporate clients she has worked with, as well as startups. She not only teaches meditation in person at the University level; but also offers a variety of courses and workshops online within apps and on her website. She is also an author,Kindness Now: A 28-Day Guide to Living with Authenticity, Intention and Compassion.
Like many impressive women and companies, Amanda found herself in need of professional photos. The visuals would be for her website and other branding needs. After being introduced to Ashley by a mutual friend, the two just clicked.
Amanda Gilbert worked with Ashley to discuss all of her needs in regards to the project. Amanda did need new images for her social media and website. The heavy lift of this particular project was that Amanda was working on producing an online mediation course, Home. She needed someone to help create all of the images and build the course from scratch. Every image and color used within the course had to flow, and match Amanda’s overall presence online.
“Amanda had a specific digital download for her meditation course, and we had to actually create that. We not only had to create all of the visuals for the course, but also for the ‘promo video‘. Additionally, we had to make sure the website matched. Fortunately for me, Amanda has great taste and always brought the most beautiful wardrobe. Between the both of us, our locations and the design team helped create a really stunning product. Amanda is an expert in her field and I wanted to make sure the visuals accentuated that.”
Ashley, Amanda, and Amanda’s web developer worked as a team. The goal was to utilize Ashley’s images and videos alongside Amanda’s vision to create truly beautiful visuals to complement Amanda’s Home Meditation Course, and website. In typical Ashley style, she went above and beyond to provide Amanda with presets for social media. She delivered this alongside all of the other deliverables Amanda needed to make her course a success. When asking Ashley about the magnitude of the project, Ashley commented,
“When we are creating an entire collection of brand content and imagery, I take on the role of not only photographer, but also creative director and brand strategist. I want to set my clients up for success once our time working together on the project has completed and until I see them again. We built an entire color portfolio around her brand, and since she would be updating her social with in the moment imagery and not just from our collection, I provided her with presets to ensure that all photos and content for future posts would be on brand.”
Amanda Gilbert was impressed by Ashley’s ability to capture dynamic visuals, but also by Ashley’s heart and spirit. Ashley often goes with her intuition and instinct when directing shoots, but also feels connected to the people she works with.
“I really get invested in my clients, connecting with them, seeing their hearts and wanting them to succeed. I believe I’m led to the clients I get to work with. Being a relationship person as much as a creator, so it would only make sense I’d be matched with clients I match with energetically.”
