About Kira + ByKWest

Kira West, the person behind Made ByKWest, is a content creator and community cultivator in the travel and fitness space. Sometimes timing really is everything. The stars and stories align in the right way that allow us to lift up brands. We met Kira for the first time when she appeared on Lindsay Harrod’s live after the murder of George Floyd. The pair discussed racism, the tragedy and how the influencer world could be an active ally in the fight for social justice. 

Among all of Kira’s other projects, she also had released her own jewelry line, MadeByKWest. The jewelry is made of precious metals designed for an active lifestyle. You can wear them from the plane to the gym to the beach and everywhere in between. We also love Kira’s “pay it forward” mentality, where she donates a portion of each sale to several charities that truly lift up women.

Ashley saw an opportunity in a time of turmoil to bring together her team, and really lift up Kira and her jewelry collection. To Ashley, the collection really spoke about people coming together as a community, as a world. It wasn’t just about advertising jewelry, but also demonstrating the power of lifting each other up. 

“To me, her collection represents not just wellness, but also us coming together as a community. I think that now more than ever, we need to remember to show up for each other. We need to fight for the equity of all.” Ashley said when talking about the project. 

Ashley called on her close network to help create a campaign and lift up Kira and her brand. Ashley made sure that the story of the shoot was about lifting each other up and being an inclusive community. This message was also meant to complement Kira’s message of travel and wellness.
