Kristy Goodman started her career as a PA working specifically in women’s health. Over the course of her years as a PA and working with many patients, she noticed this trend where women were coming to her office pregnant with pregnancy complications that were totally preventable.
She noticed too that when she recommended that women go for certain tests, they had to really advocate, almost beg for them. Kristy developed an at home testing kit for women to pre-screen for potential risks. “I thought this was absolutely genius and I’m always looking to brand/work with innovators and visionaries with real tangible measures on how we can support the future of our world.” Ashley notes.
Kristy’s business and testing kit grew from a desire to provide women with the tools necessary to test themselves for these conditions. “I really believe this product can help so many and Kristy’s expertise and kindness really shows with this company, this is the exact type of person I love to do business with. I get invested in my clients and want to see them succeed because in turn the success we have working with each other ends up serving so many.” Writes Ashley.
Additionally to the at home testing kit, Kristy and her business partner created an app to help guide women who are hoping to become pregnant have an idea of things that they may be at risk for during pregnancy.
With any business launch, Kristy hoped to have a few headshots and photos done for the launch of the business. She heard of Ashley through an entrepreneurial women’s network leader they both knew and jumped on a call to talk branding.
“I really had no idea what I was getting myself into,” said Kristy, “ I knew we needed photos but I am not really comfortable in front of the camera, and didn’t know exactly what I needed.”
“Kristy is one of those clients I love to help. Aside from her kind nature, she’s a client who has never lived a life in branding which means I feel extra blessed they’re in the right hands with someone who really cares to guide them in the best possible direction. Successful products (like I believe Kristy’s will be) really benefit from the support of great branding and marketing. Branding & marketing is really half the battle. You can have an amazing product that can save lives but if no one knows it exists those lives can’t be saved.”
Ashley worked her magic and helped Kristy and her business partner get great photos of them, which included photos for the website and social for the product. Knowing Kristy was a client with less experience with branding, Ashley made sure to really utilize the system she created leading up to the shoot.
“I used the questionnaire that I normally use, which is a unique set of questions that helps bring clarity to not only me but to the client about their business and what they’re using branding images for, and really helped guide kristy on props/wardrobe/hair & make up and location. I wanted her to come fully prepared and confident to the shoot.” Ashley said. “I always try to help my client with their wardrobe. It really can make or break your brand image and the max efficiency of utilizing your the images we create together. It seems so simple, but for example if red is not in your brand colors, you shouldn’t wear red to a branding shoot, no matter how great you look in it.”
Kristy was thrilled with the outcome of the shoot, and used all of the photos on the website and social media. When the test launched in February of 2020, it received some great press coverage, and Kristy was thankful to have a package of photos she could share with the media to really put her company’s best foot forward.
“I am so thankful for Ashley. I really had no idea what I needed and I never like being in front of the camera. Ashley not only provided exceptional service and quality images, but also made me feel incredibly comfortable with the whole process.” Kristy said about her time with Ashley.
